Sorry for the lack of posts. I haven't got any good photos to share of my current adventures, so I figured I'd hold off until I took some.

If you live in the US: PLEASE VOTE TODAY.

I am an economist, so I know all about the "my vote doesn't really matter because the probability that I will be the marginal voter is basically zero" models, but it's the best political process we have, so we might as well use it!

I feel the same way about the "marginal zero" voting, but I still vote because I know that that right is not something that everyone in the world has. We should appreciate that our government acknowledges the voice we have, big or little. You never know when it would be taken away from us.

I agree, we should be thankful that we have a voice in the process. Despite the marginal vote models, there has also been much work that suggests that democratic systems foster growth and peace. So participation means something beyond just deciding today's issues.
