OH MY GOODNESS!
You have to go rent "It's a Wonderful Life" RIGHT NOW!!!!
And you've never seen "ET"?

Ay yay yay! Of course this is coming from someone who had never seen any Disney films growing up...my husband was horrified and rectified that situation.

I love the Nantucket Cardigan ...are you wishing for cooler days so you have an excuse to wear it? ; )

Your post reminded me about this list--I'd forgotten that a new one was published!

I've seen a few of the same films as you; I think that you'd really like these as well: Cabaret, Who's Afriad of Virginia Woolf? (originally a play by Edward Albee; it's amazing to read as well as to watch and the film stays true to the play. It's said to be Elizabeth Taylor's best performance), The Graduate, Tootsie.

Kerstin:
It is odd that I have never seen It's a Wonderful Life. I have seen lots of other movies with Jimmy Stewart in them, and several Frank Capra films too. As for ET, I started watching it and somehow it didn't take. That must be just me, though, since everyone else likes it so much!

And I am waiting to bust out the Nantucket Jacket!

Oksana:
Thanks for the recommendations! Those have all been on my list (though I have seen Cabaret on stage). The one problem with The Graduate is I have a personal aversion to Dustin Hoffman. My boyfriend has had to literally drag me to see Hoffman films. That being said, I liked All the President's Men, so I really shouldn't be so reticient.

You should see Pulp Fiction (even though I'd admitted that it was my fave before) at least once. It's quite different and entertaining. Plus, if you happen to like that, then you'd like Goodfellas too. I rewatched that last night.

I don't understand the Sixth Sense being there either, but I'm sure they have their reasons. Not to say that it was bad, but it definately threw you off in the end.

I'm pretty guilty of not watching some of these classics, but you only have so much time on your hands.
